These Terms and Conditions govern your use of SpicePan. By reading, printing or sharing material from this site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
Content and licence
SpicePan publishes recipes, spice-blend formulas, technique guides and related editorial content. All text, photography and video are our property or used under licence. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view the content and to print or share reasonable extracts for your own cooking and for non-commercial discussion, provided the material is unaltered, credited to SpicePan, and links back to the original page.
Anything else needs written permission, including scraping our recipes or images for another site or app, republishing substantial parts of the library, selling our formulas, or using our content as training data for a commercial service.
Prohibited uses
- Reproducing, framing or mirroring the site without authorisation.
- Automated harvesting at a volume that degrades our servers.
- Abusive, unlawful or off-topic comment postings.
- Presenting our blends or recipes as your own, or impersonating SpicePan.
- Attempting unauthorised access to the administration or interfering with site security.
Your submissions
When you send a comment, a question or a recipe idea, you keep ownership of it and grant us the right to publish, edit and quote it on the site. Please do not submit material you have no right to share, and do not include personal data about other people.
Advertising and sponsored content
The site carries third-party advertising and occasional sponsored placements, always labelled. Advertisers have no editorial control, and a product appearing in an ad slot is not an endorsement by us.
No warranty on results
Our recipes and blends describe what happened in our kitchen with the spice we had. Grind fineness, storage age, pan material, stove output and local ingredient variation all change results. You are responsible for your own food handling. The Disclaimer sets this out in full.
Third-party links
We link to suppliers, equipment and other articles. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpicePan is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded it is limited to the amount a reader paid to access the content, which for a free site is nil. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes and termination
We may amend these terms and may suspend access where they are breached. Material changes appear on this page. The licence and disclaimer provisions survive termination of your use.
